paano naman sila?

Many people in the mountain part of  Tanay, Rizal will be affected  in the revival of the Laiban Dam Project in Tanay, Rizal. The Laiban Dam Project aims to address the increasing water crisis in Metro Manila and its nearby areas, as they said.  The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) claims that the dam will generate 1,900 million liters per day of municipal and industrial water for Metro Manila and nearby communities in Cavite. They are also counting the income it will give for the municipality of Tanay. It is really a money generating project.

But, how about the people living there? I think they have more than 10,000 population. It is compose of nine barangays, 18 Elementary Schools, 5 Secondary Schools and so much more.

The Philippines has one of the most abundant water resources in Asia. Thus, availability of clean and potable water should never be problem, much less become a subject of crisis in the country.

So why is this happening? Because of the long years of government neglect and incompetence, and the twisted economic policies that prioritize the interests of the profit-driven private corporations, Filipinos are denied of potable water, which has become more of a commodity rather than a vital public service.

Corruption.

For others to benefit something, others  will have to suffer!

PAANO NAMAN SILA?
